Dietician starting at Lifestyle and Sports Physiotherapy

Starting on Tuesday 6th August, Lifestyle and Sports Physiotherapy will offer the services of a Dietitian.

At Lifestyle & Sports Physiotherapy, our dietitians are committed to helping you reach your health goals. All our dietitians are Accredited Practising Dietitians (APD) which means their need to continually take part in professional development courses and stay up to date with the latest techniques in nutrition.

They are highly skilled in being able to provide individualised advice on nutrition-related matters and can modify diets to treat or help to manage most conditions.

They dedicated and experienced in providing nutrition information to best manage conditions such as:

·         Diabetes

·         Heart disease

·         High blood pressure

·         High Cholesterol

·         Overweight or Obesity

·         Osteoporosis

·         Paediatric nutrition

For those who suffer from gastro-intestinal diseases, food allergies and/or intolerances, our dietitians are experienced in being able to find out the trigger food groups which cause you problems. They regularly use techniques such as the FODMAP and RPAH Elimination diet to help firstly relieve the symptoms of your condition and secondly, help advise you on how best to manage your condition.

Our dietitians specialise and have a keen interest in sports nutrition and are able to consult people of all ages from beginner to elite athletes.

This includes providing advice on:

·         Recovery strategies

·         Hydration

·         Race day and competition plans

·         Post-injury nutrition strategies

·         Sports supplements

·         Gaining or losing weight for sports

·         Vegetarian eating

·         Menu planning and strategies when travelling interstate or abroad

·         Body composition testing
