Staff at Lifestyle and Sports Physiotherapy are proudly supporting Junk Free June.
The inaugural 2012 JUNK FREE JUNE raised in excess of $10,000, with every dollar going towards The Junction Works' Well Being(s) strategy. The Junction Works Ltd (TJW) is a not-for-profit community organisation which has been offering a broad range of innovative services for people with a disability and their families / carers, young people at risk, and disadvantaged communities in Western Sydney since 1987. Well Being(s) is a suite of programs and activities which empower the people The Junction Works supports to live healthy, happy, active lives.
We at Lifestyle and Sports Physiotherapy have decided to set ourselves a challenge to improve our health and at the same time enhance the lives of young people with disabilities.
We pledge that we will:
Give up Chocolate
Give up Ice Cream
Give up Milo
Give Up those yummy Museli Bars we have in the work kitchen
and Andrew will
Do 100 Push Ups in a row by the end of June.
and Shiblee will
Do 100 Sit Ups in a row by the end of June
All of this we will do in the month of June and we hope to have lost a few kilos and gained loads more energy. We also hope, that through your generosity, we can raise enough funds to assist young people with a disability to experience new and healthy life experiences, such as going to the gym, joining a performing arts group, taking up Tai Chi or learning new life skills. In other words to do the things that you and I take for granted.
You can easily support our efforts by making a secure donation. It would also be great if you could share our page to your networks by liking on Facebook or simply sending the link out.
All donations over $2 are tax deductible and you will be issued with a DGR receipt via email as soon as you make a donation.
Thanks so much for your support!
