Self care takes time and practice if we aren't used to doing it, especially with the business of work and family life.
There is nothing selfish about needing to step away from the world and give yourself a little bit of time to reboot, reflect, replenish and restore so that you can be all the things you need to be for yourself, your family, your work and your friends.
It's OK to step away, and take some time for you

Exercise/Gym
Walk in nature
Listen to music
Drink a cup of tea in the sunshine
Warm bath with Magnesium salts
Conversation with a friend
Mindfullness/Meditation
Give myself permission to switch off
Play golf
Gardening
Sunbaking
Go to the beach
Bike Ride
Hang out with the dog/walk the dog
Switch off phone and social media
Talk with partner/family if I am worried about things
Spend time being active with family
